Kate Mallatratt holds an Advanced Diploma (degree level)
in Canine Behaviour Management and runs her behaviour and training business, Contemplating Canines, in Sidmouth, East Devon, UK. She is a founder member and secretary of International Canine Behaviourists and a member of the Pet Professional Guild for force-free training. She teaches students world-wide through her online courses in advanced clicker training, concepts and tricks, specialising in error-reduced learning. Kate is author of Home alone… and happy! (published June 2016 by Hubble & Hattie) and writes monthly columns on canine behaviour and training for East Devon’s One magazine, blogs for the Pet Remedy website and has been published in Barks from the Guild magazine, writing the feature article on ‘Errorless Learning: Building the Super Learner’ (November 2015). Kate takes a holistic approach to the management of her own dogs, treating them using homeopathy and feeding a raw diet alongside regular chiropractic treatment to maintain their health and wellbeing.
