Wendy Jensen, DVM, CVH received her veterinary degree from the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine in 1987. She worked in a small animal practice, also seeing horses, sheep, and goats. Dissatisfied, in 1990 she left practice and spent four years in the non-profit sector. During this time, she attended a lecture on veterinary homeopathy and was captivated by this medicine’s logical, straightforward and yet profoundly satisfying philosophy. She went in search of training, attending Dr. Richard Pitcairn’s Professional Course in Veterinary Homeopathy before being certified by the AVH in 1994. At that time, she opened the Jensen Homeopathic Veterinary Practice. After serving on the initial expanded board for the AVH, she edited their journal, continuing through its first 12 years in publication. Dr. Jensen has published articles in JAVH, JAHVMA and Homoeopathic Links, among others, and has lectured widely. She has taught for the Professional Course, and mentored veterinary homeopaths in the Course’s on-line community. In 2011, her New World Veterinary Repertory, co-authored with Dr. Pitcairn, came out as software, followed by the published textbook in 2013. She currently writes, lectures, plays violin, and continues to practice homeopathy from her home in New Hampshire. Her new textbook The Practical Handbook of Veterinary Homeopathy will be available in print in November 2015.
